KRØLLE BØLLE IS HIDING
Ludvig Mahler created the story about Krølle Bølle as a bedtime story for his son Ole. Ludvig Mahler created the character, draw and wrote the stories about Krølle Bølle, his sister Krølle Borra, mother Bobbasina and father Bobbarækus Fillirækus. The family lives on the Northern tip of Bornholm called Langebjerg.
The first edition of the book Krølle Bølle was published in 1946.

The first part of Krølle Bølle's mom and dad's name is Bobba, which has several meanings. Sometimes it can be used for a troll - but also for a ghost, cloud, boogey among others. If you keep that in mind, you will notice that many places on Bornholm use the word Bobba.
The story was originally made to Ole Mahler, and he has kindly lent his Krølle Bølle belongings to Bornholms Museum. You can see his many Krølle Bølle belongings and you get to know more about the fictional story that has become a part of Bornholm's cultural history.
