THE CERAMIC FACTORY & MUSEUM OF BORNHOLM
Visit our 150 years-old ceramic factory, where the production still uses the original principles for making stoneware. The atmosphere is vibrant with activities in the workshops, shop and garden.
At Hjorths Fabrik you can follow the full process of making stoneware. In the museum we have a permanent exhibition for you to see the changing designs over time and our temporary artists showpieces.
The workshops are open for visitors in Spring and Summer seasons.
GUIDED TOURS IN THE FACTORY
Join the guided tours around the factory at 11am every Saturday. In June, July and August the tour will be held at 11am and 2pm Mondays to Saturdays.
The guided tours are included in the ticket.
You will learn about the processes when making ceramics, the history of the family-based factory, and you will get to know more about the collection of ceramics dated back to 1700s and be presented to the temporary exhibitions.
Private tours can also be arranged.
The tour takes about 1 hour for max. 20 people.
