THE HISTORY OF BORNHOLM MUSEUM

Bornholm Museum is founded in 1893. It is a cultural historical museum representing Bornholm and Christiansø.

The museum is owned and run by Bornholm Museums Association - Denmark's biggest museum association of its kind.
We have approx. 5000 members engaging in the cultural heritage of Bornholm at the two state-recognized museums: Bornholm Museum and Bornholm Art Museum.

As a state-recognized museum we are committed to collect, conservate, investigate, display and communicate to the public.
The museum takes the responsibility very serious in archaeology and recent cultural history.
