1. Introduction

The policy about collecting and processing personal data and the use of cookies (from now on "the policy") describes how Bornholms Museum, CVR -nr. 38 27 03 11, (from now on ”us”, ”we” or ”our”) as responsible for data - both the data collection and processing hereof.
Same policy applies when purchasing items via Bornholms Museums webshop, receiving our News Letter or use our Applications from Google Play. (from now on "Product”).
When using our Products and thereby submitting your personal information you give permission to this Policy.
2. What kind of personal information do we collect and for what purpose?
2.1
In general we do not collect personal information via our websites. However when you use our Products, we do collect information about you by the use of cookies. These information include the type of browser you are using, your keywords search when using our Product, your IP-address and information about your type of computer (from now on Cookie Data).
We use Cookie Data to improve our Product and the conversion at our website, and to make targeted marketing.
2.2
When using our Product, we collect and process personal information about you in order to deliver the Product to our costumers. These data are collected by us as well as submitted by you. (Name, address, e-mail, phone number, activity log about the use of the Product - from now on ”General Costumer Data”).
2.3
Please do not submit any sensitive information anywhere when using our Product, e.g. in comments, chat support or the like. Sensitive information include information about race, ethnicity, religion or philosophical beliefs, sexual orientations, health status, political views, or membership of any trade union.
3. Why do we process the data?
3.1
The Cookie Data process is necessary to legitimate our interests to improve the user experience when using our Product and to be able to offer our visitors and costumers the most important news.
3.2
Our process of your General Costumer Data is necessary to meet the agreement of purchasing when buying our products.
4. Do we pass on your personal information to others?
4.1
We do not pass on your personal information to others so far as it is not required by law.
4.2
We use external companies as suppliers in order to make the best Products possible. These external suppliers are called Data Processors and will in some cases process your personal information for us. This is only related to the delivering of services. Our Data Processors only process your personal information according to our instructions and the law's requirements to Data Processors.
5. How long do we keep your personal information?
5.1
We make sure to delete your personal information regulary when they are not longer relevant for the purposes we have collected them for. However, we do keep your personal information to that extent the law requires, as in the case with accounting data, which is covered by the accounting law.
5.2
We save the personal data you submit when purchasing a product in our webshop. The data is automatically deleted after 1 year.
5.3
Only your e-mail and name are saved when subscribing our News Letter. If you unsubscribe the News Letter we will delete your e-mail and name. You will find a link in the News Letter to be able to unsubscribe.
5.4
We do not collect any data when using our applications at Google Play. The make statistics via Google and the data used in these statistics only describe whether the application freezes or closes down unmotivated, and the total number of installations.
Our applications only use the required permissions necessary to make the application work correctly. You have the oppertunity to add address and phone number in your phone's contacts.
Our applications do not contain any commercials or advertisements.

6. As registered - what rights do you have?
6.1
When being registered you have a number of rights that we can support.
Your rights include following:
(a) You have a right to gain insight into which personal data we process about you, for what purposes and whether we pass on your information to others at any time.
(b) You have a right to correct inaccurate personal information about you.
(c) In some cases you have a right to have some of your personal data deleted.
(d) In some cases you have a right to limit the processing of your personal data, which means we can only save your personal data for a limited period of time.
(e) You have a right to so-called data portability of the personal information you have submitted. This include personal data which we have collected with your consent or because we must use the personal data to fulfill a contract with you.
(f) In some cases you have a right to protest against our way of processing your personal information. This will be based on reasons and conditions related to your particular situation.
(g) If we have obtained your consent to processing your personal data, you have the right at any time to revoke your consent. Hereafter your personal data, which previously were collected on the basis of your consent, will be deleted.

The rapid development of the internet means that changes in our processing of personal information can be necessary. Therefore, we reserve the right to update and renew this Policy. In case of any updates, we will change the date for "Last updated" at the bottom of the page. In case of any essential changes we will inform you via our website.
