Long table Dinner at Melstedgård
Come share a meal with someone you don’t know – yet!
Once again this summer, we’re hosting our popular community-style long table dinners.
We’ll meet and prepare a meal together – preferably outdoors, if the weather allows.
We’ll have the fire or grill going, and most of the ingredients ready for you to dive in. You might be sent to the garden to pick herbs, greens, or berries – and then we’ll cook the meal together.
We’ll eat, relax, and enjoy the evening with everyone who shows up. And when bellies are full and the evening draws to a close, we’ll say goodnight to each other – and to the animals!
It’s a wonderful way to enjoy an evening, a meal, and share something with people you don’t know – yet.
Minimum 10 participants. If fewer are registered, we’ll refund the full amount on the day of the event and contact you by email or SMS.
Jobs at Bornholms Museum: Excavation Directors and Field Archaeologists for Chapter 8 Excavations
Bornholms Museum is seeking experienced excavation directors and seasoned field archaeologists to join our archaeological team in the years to come. We anticipate large-scale excavations covering several hectares, focusing on settlement areas with numerous houses spanning the last 6,000 years.
The work will be organized within an independent unit under the museum’s Archaeological Centre. The unit will also include other field archaeologists and archaeologists with administrative responsibilities. You will collaborate closely with project managers to carry out all archaeological fieldwork and, where applicable, lead excavations.
Bornholm offers a rich and diverse archaeological landscape filled with exciting discoveries. The museum has recently taken a major step forward by moving into spacious and modern facilities. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to uncovering our island’s remarkable prehistory, with a focus on settlement archaeology and cultural landscape development.
